Carolina Quiroga · Homepage redesign and SEO
What happens when Google can’t see your website at all?
Carolina Quiroga is a Colombian-American storyteller and performer. Her site was hidden from Google, and her podcast had just moved to its own site, Casa Literaria. We opened the site to search, cleaned up both sites and designed a new homepage built around booking.

Hidden
The challenge
A working artist, invisible in search.
Locked out of Google
Every page on carolinaquiroga.com carried a noindex tag, and there was no sitemap. Google’s copy of the site was four years out of date.
Two sites, one story
The podcast episodes had moved to Casa Literaria. Google views of the old episode pages fell 98% from April to September 2026.
Small things adding up
Ten pages with no main heading, default addresses like /contact-8, three dead links, and both sites set to Spanish and the Bogotá time zone.
Open
The website
Scroll through it the way a visitor would.
The Carolina Quiroga website, section by section
Who she is, in one line
“Latin American stories, told live.” Then how to say her name, and two clear buttons.
A word from a venue
A line from a stage that hosted her sits right under the opening.
The shows, at a glance
Each show gets a photo, a one-line pitch and where it has played.
Short facts, next date
Where she is from, what she does and her next performance, so a booker can size her up fast.
One ask
Check my availability. The same button opens and closes the page.

Mobile
Easy to book from a phone
The new homepage stacks in reading order on a phone, with the booking button at the very top.

- Book a performance, first thing on the screen
- Her name, spelled out to say aloud
- Shows stack one at a time

Book
A storyteller should be easy to find. Now Google can see her site, and booking her takes a few taps.
The brand
Fraunces, olive and gold
Her site sets headings in Fraunces and body text in Work Sans. Warm charcoal and deep olive carry the page, with gold as the accent. The arched mark in the logo returns as the frame around her photo, like a stage.

- 0pages opened to GoogleHidden until September 11, 2026, when indexing went on with a 20-page sitemap
- 0podcast episodes sent to GoogleOf the top 20, 13 were already indexed. October 15, 2026
- 0dead links forwarded to live pages/programs, /talesforgrown-ups and /trescuentospodcast
- 0FAQ answers marked up for searchFAQ and Organization data on carolinaquiroga.com, October 28, 2026
Most of this shipped in September and October 2026, so it is too early for a fair before and after. Before the work, the site showed up in Google about 250 times a month. We will report the new numbers once there is enough data.
