Free Squarespace template detector
Enter any Squarespace site to see the version (7.0 or 7.1), the template ID and how it does on basic SEO, accessibility and mobile speed.

One page, six areas, about ten seconds. Every finding is a fact read from the site itself, explained in plain English.
WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Drupal and more, with the version when the site shows it.
The theme or template, plus builders like Elementor or Divi and the plugins visible in the page.
Cloudflare, WP Engine, Kinsta, Vercel and others, plus analytics, ads, chat and payment tools.
Title, description, headings, structured data, sitemap and whether Google may list the page.
Image descriptions, page language and overlay widgets that do not make a site compliant.
Google PageSpeed for phones, with how long the main content takes to show.
You can check by hand too. These are the same signs the checker looks for.
Images load from images.squarespace-cdn.com or static1.squarespace.com.
The page code contains a comment that says "This is Squarespace."
Adding /config to the address shows a Squarespace login.
Free website audit
The checker reads one page. In a free audit I go through your whole site and tell you, in plain English, what is costing you customers and what to fix first. No cost, no obligation, and you keep the plan whoever does the work.
Book my free auditVersion 7.1 is the current one. Every 7.1 site shares one template system, so the look comes from settings, not a named template.
Version 7.0 sites use named templates that no longer get new features. Moving from 7.0 to 7.1 is a rebuild, not a switch, so it is worth planning.
Squarespace stores the template as an ID in the page code. On 7.1 every site shares the same base, so the name tells you little anyway.
Not with one click. Pages have to be rebuilt in 7.1. Squarespace lets you build a new 7.1 site and switch your domain when it is ready.
It covers the basics well. You still need good page titles, real content and a Google Business Profile for local searches.
Each one runs the same check, with notes for that platform. Thinking about a new site? Try the website cost calculator.
